Onewo Digital Carbon Emissions Project Wins "ESG Action Pioneer Award" to Promote Sustainable Development in the Property Industry

At the "2024 Zero Carbon Mission International Climate Summit," co-hosted by Phoenix Satellite TV, the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Switzerland Beijing Representative Office, and the Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) Beijing Representative Office, with support from the C Team and other organizations, Onewo Space Technology Services Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Onewo") was awarded the "ESG Action Pioneer Award" for its "Onewo Digital Carbon Emissions Project." This award recognizes innovative actions that have achieved significant accomplishments in addressing environmental issues, social challenges, and corporate governance, setting an example for the industry and society.

The successful holding of the summit not only warmed up for the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, which will be held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, but also contributed wisdom and strength to the achievement of global climate goals. The summit brought together representatives from Chinese government agencies, the U.S. Embassy in China, the Brazilian Embassy in China, the Norwegian Embassy in China, and others to discuss innovative solutions and effective practices to address climate change.

At the award ceremony, Onewo's representative, Xu Shilun, received the honor at the Beijing Phoenix Center and delivered a speech. She said, "This honor is an affirmation of the unremitting efforts of the Onewo team and an encouragement for its work in the field of digital carbon emissions. We will continue to commit to promoting sustainable development of society and the environment through technological innovation."

In his opening remarks, Phoenix Satellite TV Chairman and CEO Xu Wei pointed out, "In addressing climate change, no one is a bystander, and international cooperation is crucial." He emphasized that the international community must work together, find common ground, and take positive actions to address the climate crisis.

The summit also invited the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to China, Bunyad Huseynov, who is the President of the 29th Conference of the Parties (COP29), as well as U.S. Ambassador to China Burns, Brazilian Ambassador to China Gao Wang, Norwegian Ambassador to China David Wen, and other global political, business, and academic guests to attend the meeting. Carbon accounting is the fundamental work of measuring greenhouse gas emissions, providing necessary data support for scientifically formulating national policies, assessing the progress of work assessments, and participating in international negotiations and compliance. The significance of carbon accounting for voluntary carbon reduction lies in ensuring the fairness and transparency of carbon market transactions, helping enterprises and organizations accurately calculate and report their greenhouse gas emissions, and thus achieving the goal of carbon reduction.

The updating and disclosure of digital electricity data play a crucial role in achieving carbon neutrality and peak carbon goals. It not only improves energy efficiency, supports carbon management, promotes energy transformation, but also has a profound impact on policy formulation, corporate responsibility, technological innovation, and the achievement of environmental goals.
